How to Score Bicycle Kicks in FIFA 23

Landing a bicycle kick in FIFA 23 is the ultimate flex.

There’s no bigger flex than pulling off a seemingly improbable shot from nowhere. Sure, it can provide quite the jolt against the computer, but to create that magic against another human? That feeling is tough to top. So with this guide, we’re going to talk you through everything you need to know in order to perform a bicycle kick in FIFA 23.

Bicycle Kick Guide for FIFA 23

As always, players have multiple options for when they want to take on the goalkeeper. Of course, certain times call for specific shots. And while we’re not advocating for you to attempt bicycle kicks all of the time, we’re also not, not advocating for that. In any case, depending on your platform, this is what you’ll need to know in order to attempt a bicycle kick in FIFA 23:

  • Xbox: LT + B
  • PS4 & PS5: L2 + Circle
  • Nintendo Switch: L + A

I know we’ve preached timing in previous guides as it pertains to shots in FIFA, but timing is quite crucial when it comes to delivering a bicycle kick. Players need to ensure the ball is above and behind the attacker they’re attempting to score while hitting these combinations, otherwise it’s not going to work. So while it may take a little bit of practice to nail down, that reward is more than worth it.

Oh, and the player you’re using is going to be important too. Pulling one off with Zlatan Ibrahimović—yes, all 40 years of him—is probably doable. But let’s say, well, Danny Ings? Maybe less so. Erling Haaland? Of course, he’s a human cheat code. Chris Wood? Harder to say. You get it.

Ratings make a difference, even when it comes to bicycle kicks. Yet that’s not all.

Setting up Your Own Bicycle Kick

For that extra touch of class—not to mention salt in your opponent’s wound—players can always try to set up their own bicycle kick. All it requires is juggling the ball with a player you’re controlling, flicking the left joystick to set said player up, and letting one rip.

Pretty sweet, right?

Regardless, FIFA enthusiasts, that’s all you need to know in order to perform a bicycle kick in FIFA 23. A goal at the end of it may be the biggest reward of all, but learning to master the art makes it all the more fun.
