Best Places to Land in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

With the brand new Chapter 3 Season 3 map changes, there’s bound to be some confusion over the best places to land, but we’ve narrowed down the best three.

Greasy Grove

This might sound like an odd choice considering how favored Greasy Grove is, and especially with it getting a makeover. However, that’s precisely why it works as a drop location. All of the new terrain gives Greasy Grove actual elevation, it’s no longer fighting it out inside houses or trying to go toe-to-toe on the ground.

With the mushrooms taking over Greasy Grove it’s much more uneven with places to get height and find the right weapon to make better elevated shots. This new change took Greasy Grove from a battleground to a tactical paradise.

Reality Tree

Similarly, this probably seems like an absolutely insane idea. Typically, it would never be advisable to choose to drop in a new location, but there’s more it to than that. You’re not going to want to just run around exploring the ground around the tree roots, you’ll want to travel up the tree itself. As you can see when near the tree, there is a part of the tree that serves as a ramp you can climb up.

Reality Tree Upper Branch Sniping Spot

At the very top here is an incredible sniping spot and seeing the tree itself is a natural vent, you can jump on one of the mushrooms for a quick escape.

The Temple

The Temple Landmark

While this landmark is a little bit close to The Daily Bugle, the fact that it is on the entire other side of the map from the new stuff is what matters most.

Assuming you don’t get any competition and get to explore this place alone, you’ll probably get to open at least five chests.

Tumbledown Temple

If you’re concerned that The Temple might get people who veer off from The Daily Bugle, this is a better alternative for roughly the same amount of chests.

The best part is that it is in the middle of nowhere, so the chance that you’ll get someone dropping with you is low. As an added bonus for those in build modes, this place is a great source of stone.

Central Gas Station

Central Gas Station

This gas station has the perfect placement. There’s regularly enough loot for you to properly kit up plus the location means that you can head off to one of several different named locations. Upon landing at the gas station you are roughly in the middle of Tilted Towers, Sanctuary, The Joneses, and Rocky Reels. You get needed weaponry and a solid choice of available directions.

Happy landing, Loopers!
