What is Blood Essence?

Blood is so important to a vampire in V Rising, but so is Blood Essence. Be it Blood Essence, Greater Blood Essence, or Primal Blood Essence, you can be sure that it will be vital to your progress in V Rising in terms of keeping your castle in good shape. Your Castle Heart will require Blood Essence to keep things running, and many of the more advanced upgrades and creations will require Blood Essence to be created.

How To Get Blood Essence in V Rising

Players can obtain Blood Essence simply by killing any enemy or creature found in the game. If you’re fortunate enough, a certain amount of Blood Essence can be obtained this way, or even found out in the world. There is also a way to obtain Blood Essence at your castle, with the use of 4 Rats and the Blood Press creating this resource for your use.

For Greater Blood Essence, you will need to eliminate more dangerous enemies, such as those that are level 20 or higher. Venture out of the Farbane Woods, and you will have a better shot of increasing your stockpile. Crafting is also possible, but only after defeating the level 46 boss, Tristan the Vampire Hunter, and will require 4 Unsullied Hearts or 200 Blood Essence.

The most valuable of them all, Primal Blood Essence is definitely hard to obtain. The most surefire way to acquire it is to defeat Jade the Vampire Hunter, a level 62 boss found in the Dunley Farmlands, and obtain the recipe. It will require either 4 Exquisite Hearts or 12 Greater Blood Essence to create a single Primal Blood Essence.

Blood Essence

The most common form of Blood Essence, this can be used to keep your Castle Heart fuelled up.
