How To Complete the Forging Iron Quest in Destiny 2

To begin the Forging Iron quest, players will need to visit Lord Saladin. He has moved to a new location this season, and can now be found directly in front of the spawn locations in the main Tower courtyard. Interact with him and then grab the quest when he offers it to you.

  • Step 1 – Complete a match in Iron Banner.
  • Step 2Complete a daily challenge.
  • Step 3 – Earn Iron Banner Rank points.
  • Step 4 – Collect an Iron Banner engram from Lord Saladin.
  • Step 5 – Complete Iron Banner matches while wearing at least one piece of Iron Banner armor. Each additional piece grants extra progress.
  • Step 6 – Speak to Lord Saladin at the Tower

Overall, the Forging Iron quest is quite straightforward. All you really need to do is play Iron Banner matches and take part in minor activities around those matches. It is a much easier and more run-of-the-mill quest than it has been in previous years.

What is Iron Banner?

Iron Banner is a limited-time PvP mode in Destiny 2. Unlike most PvP options in the game, Power level matters, and the higher your Power the more damage you will do and the less damage you will take. The mode now centers around a match-type called Rift that is essentially a capture the flag mode but with a neutral flag at the center of the map.

Two teams of six players will face off as they attempt to take the neutral objective to the enemy Rift and deposit it there. The first team to do this five times will win the match.
