Elden Ring is the latest action-RPG from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, and it features a large open-world, along with lore and its overarching mythos penned by George R.R. Martin. There are plenty of optional dungeons to explore in this game, along with bosses to take on. As you’re exploring, you’ll also inevitably come across a few puzzles that may be a little tricky to explore. Here’s how to get into the Converted Fringe Tower in Elden Ring.
The Converted Fringe Tower is located in the northeastern corner of Liurnia of the Lakes, and you’ll quickly notice that there’s a sealed archway there, barring your way into the rest of the tower. The in-game message on the ground will give you a clue as to how to get in, and it has to do with gesturing.
Getting Into Converted Fringe Tower with the Erudition Gesture
- Equip any of the Glintstone helms.
If you’ve already explored the Academy of Raya Lucaria, you should have a couple of these on hand. The crystal crabs found near the Church of the Cuckoo and in the field after the Debate Parlor will drop different Glintstone Crowns, and you can equip either of these to get past the seal.
- With the Glintstone Crown equipped, stand in front of the statue and use the Erudition gesture.
Select the gesture, and make sure to wait for your character to stretch their arms out. After a couple of seconds, the seal will break, allowing you to proceed.
That’s pretty much all there is to the puzzle. Past the archway, you’ll need to defeat a large Ball of Faces enemy, who shouldn’t give you too much trouble, and you can climb to the top to claim your prize: the Cannon of Haima and Gavel of Haima Sorceries, perfect for any Intelligence builds.
That’s all you need to know about how to get into the Converted Fringe Tower in Elden Ring and solve its tricky puzzle. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
