Lost Ark: How to Level Up Fast

Lost Ark is an MMOARPG developed by Smilegate, and it’s been out for quite a few years but is only just making its way to English-speaking territories this year. The game is set in the fantastical world of Arkesia, where your character is tasked with finding various keys and clues that will lead you to the titular Ark before the bad guys do. Here’s how to level up fast in Lost Ark.

Leveling Up Fast in Lost Ark

At the time of writing, the combat level cap is level 50, which means that you’ll first need to hit 50 before you can start thinking about endgame content. At the bottom of your screen, you’ll see a large blue bar which indicates the amount of experience points you’ve gained in that level, and once it fills up all the way, you’ll level up.

Racking up experience points and leveling up is actually pretty easy in those early hours of the game; while you do gain a bit of experience by killing enemies, it’s far more efficient to just level up by completing quests and turning them in.

For instance, it’s entirely possible to get yourself to 50 quickly just by focusing on the main story quests. If you want to hit the cap before finishing the story, however, make sure to pick up all of the yellow quest markers on your map as well. The nice thing about Lost Ark’s side quests is that they’re all very easy for the most part, and usually require you to head in the direction of your next main story objective anyway, so there’s really no reason to not pick them up.

While you’re moving through zones, you’ll sometimes receive Sudden quests, which are indicated by red markers. These require you to kill enemies within a time limit, and again, these are also usually pretty easy and will reward you with tons of experience.

Here are the different types of quests you should focus on if you just want to hit level 50 quickly:

  • Main story quests: indicated by orange markers, and blue markers in a later section of the game
  • Side quests: indicated by yellow markers
  • Sudden quests: indicated by red markers

You can also do the pink-colored Rapport quests that certain NPCs offer you, but it might be more efficient to save them for later when you have more resources to complete them quickly.

Endgame Leveling

Finally, once you’ve reached the endgame content in Lost Ark, there are plenty of daily and weekly activities for you to check out as well. Listed below are the activities that you should be running as often as possible if you want to quickly increase your gear score:

  • Chaos Dungeons
  • Guardian Raids
  • Abyss Dungeons
  • Abyss Raids
  • Legion Raids

If you’ve just hit the endgame, you’ll definitely want to start with Chaos Dungeons first, which task you with defeating several waves of enemies. This is probably the easiest content to start out with, and will also help with improving your base gear score, allowing you to move on to the other activities.

That’s all you need to know about how to level up fast in Lost Ark. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
