Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest entry in Atlus’s turn-based JRPG series, and it’s a pretty exciting one especially since we haven’t seen a mainline entry since SMT IV on the 3DS. The game takes place in modern-day Tokyo, except all hell has broken loose as angels and demons are fighting each other for control over the land. Here’s how to get and use Glory in Shin Megami Tensei V.
Getting Glory in Shin Megami Tensei V
Glory is a new type of currency you can earn in Shin Megami Tensei V, though it’s significantly harder to come by as compared to Macca, which is basically money.
There are two ways of earning Glory in this game, and we’ve listed them below:
- By finding Miman
- By opening glowing white chests
As you’ll learn at the start of the game, Miman are little red demons that can be found all over the map. They’re often found off the beaten path, hiding in little corners. For every Miman you find, you’ll be rewarded with 5 Glory, and that amount increases as you get further into the game.
Here’s a pro tip: near the end of each level, you’ll find a fox demon who will indicate all Miman locations on your map for some Macca. It’s definitely recommended that you pay the fee, as the Glory gains are huge and it’s pretty hard to find all of them on your own.
As you’re exploring the map, you’ll occasionally come across white glowing chests as well, and these are much rarer than the regular golden chests. Opening these will reward you with 50 Glory, so if you see one in the distance, definitely try to make your way to it.
How to Use It
As mentioned before, Glory is a form of currency in Shin Megami Tensei V, and you’ll be using it to help the Nahobino learn Miracles. Interact with a leyline fount or terminal and go to the World of Shadows, then choose the Apostheosis option.
From here, choose Learn Miracles and you’ll see a whole list of Miracles you can obtain by spending Glory. These will allow you to increase your demon stock, improve the Nahobino’s elemental affinities, and also give you stat and experience boosts in demon fusion. They’re incredibly helpful, so you’ll want to get as much Glory as you can to purchase more Miracles.
New Miracles are unlocked each time you clear an Abscess, indicated by the large red tentacles that pop up on the map.
That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Glory in Shin Megami Tensei V. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
