Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Sinnoh remakes that players have been asking Nintendo for years for has finally arrived. Players are able to jump in and re-experience the 4th generation with updated graphics and even some new features and changes as well. One thing that has remained steady over the last few generations, and is the case with the Sinnoh remakes, is the process for breeding and hatching eggs. If you’re here, you’re probably already working on that but are wondering how to hatch eggs fast in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Here’s what you need to know.
Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl – How to Hatch Eggs Fast
Breeding Pokemon, collecting eggs, and hatching them is all done via the Daycare at Solaceon Town. Leave two compatible Pokemon with the daycare, and in a certain amount of time depending on their compatibility, they will leave behind an egg that you can collect.
Every Pokemon requires a certain amount of steps to hatch. Some take a while and others are quick by comparison. However, all Pokemon regardless of their hatch time can have the number of steps cut in half so that way you can hatch eggs faster.
Pokemon With Flame Body & Magma Armor
The way that you do this is by having a Pokemon in your party with the ability Flame Body or Magma Armor. Common Pokemon in the Sinnoh region with Flame Body are Ponyta and Magmar. As for Magma Armor, Camerupt can have it, but so can Slugma and Macargo. In fact, the Slugma line can have both, so catching a Slugma should be a priority for you if you want easy access to one of those two abilities in order to hatch eggs fast in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
After you’ve done that, find a long stretch of road to go up and down on and hatch away, preferably in a party with one Pokemon with one of those two abilities and five eggs if you’re going hard trying to hatch the perfect ‘mon.
