Halo Infinite: How to Customize Weapons

Halo Infinite is here, and a lot earlier than expected courtesy of a surprise launch during Xbox’s 20th Anniversary celebrations earlier this week. With so many new players rushing to experience 343 Industries’ latest arena shooter, it’s no wonder so many are wondering how to customize weapons in Halo Infinite so they can stand apart from the crowd. How to Customize Weapons in Halo Infinite

Weapon and armor customization has always been a part of the Halo experience, and so it’s no surprise that the process of tweaking your spartan’s appearance is intuitive. To customize weapons, simply cycle over to the appropriate section from the main menu (Weapons Bench), then choose weapons, as highlighted above.

Once in the Weapons Bench section, you can cycle through the various upgrades you have available and equip them according to your preference. Options include different skins that alter the appearance of weapons, as well as custom gun buddies and other trinkets to personalize them. Of course, you’ll need to have unlocked some of these options first, and there are several ways to go about that in Halo Infinite — most of which boil down to paying for additional cosmetic content.

As of right now, the Battle Pass and standalone microtransactions are how you unlock the majority of new cosmetic upgrades, including weapon customization options. To get involved with either you will need to purchase credits, the game’s currency. More on that can be found here. You can also view a full list of all microtransaction prices here.

However, there are one or two weapon skins available for free right now. For starters, the 20th Anniversary Cosmetic Rewards bundle, which should be in your Weapons Bench as an option if you have logged into the game already. Otherwise, make sure you do before Nov. 22 to redeem them — more on the process here.

As you cycle through some of the cosmetic options in Halo Infinite (of which there are only a few at the moment), you’ll notice that some of them state “Stay tuned for more details,” which likely means they are tied to some sort of future in-game event that may or may not be free. Basically, the storefront and the available upgrades aren’t fully fleshed out yet, so we’re expecting more customization content beyond premium options to be made available in the near future.
