So, you’re playing on Xbox and your pals on PC. You’re both ready to hear ‘Double Kill!’ over and over in the Halo Infinite multiplayer, but you can’t figure out how to add friends. Well, fear not, as this guide’s going to explain everything you need to know to add Xbox players on PC and what we know about doing it vice-versa.

Adding Friends in Halo Infinite

Your friends list in Halo Infinite is determined by your Xbox Live account’s friends list. As such, you’ll need to add people on Xbox Live to be able to invite them easily from your friends list in Halo Infinite.

To do this, press the Xbox button and navigate to the ‘People’ tab on Xbox. From here, select the ‘Find Someone’ option and then enter their Gamertag.

On PC, you’ll need to open up the Social menu by pressing Tab on the main menu, and then click “Find Friends” at the bottom of this screen.

You can now click either the Steam or Discord options, where you can then enter your friend’s username on either platform and send them an invite to your Fireteam.

To reiterate, you’ll need to add the Gamertag of the player you want to play with regardless of whether they’re on Xbox or PC. This is done through the Xbox social menu itself, or for PC players you can access this via the Xbox Console Companion App that comes pre-installed on Windows systems.

As Steam players need to login to a Microsoft account to play Halo Infinite (their Xbox Live account), it doesn’t matter whether they’re playing on Steam or through the Microsoft Store version of the game.

Now, go get playing with your Fireteam.
