While the majority of Guardians of the Galaxy focuses on fighting hordes of mind-controlled aliens throughout space to some killer tunes, there are some sections of the game that require Peter and the gang to use their puzzle-solving skills. One such situation occurs after a confrontation with the imposing Lady Hellbender, as they find themselves trapped in her vault. Here is everything you need to know about how to escape Lady Hellbender’s vault in Guardians of the Galaxy.
After Rocket starts to blow stuff up in Chapter 4, the Guardians will eventually find themselves locked in Lady Hellbender’s vault. To make matters worse, the area begins to be filled with poison shortly thereafter.
In order to keep everyone from dying, Peter must evaluate the situation using his goggles. Press R3 to activate the scan and you’ll see the holes the poison is coming from. Jam them up by pressing R1 to shoot ice. You’ll need to do this periodically, as the ice will melt after a bit.
Once you’ve got all four areas iced, look up and you’ll see a light. Press L1 on it and then triangle/Y to have Gamora cut it down.
Once on the ground, do the same thing but have Drax pick it up with circle/B to throw it at the wall. This will give you an escape route.
Before you leave the vault, be sure to collect all of the goods that are in there, as it’ll net you some credits that can be spent on fun stuff throughout the rest of the game.

- Once the light is on the ground, have Drax pick it up with circle/B to throw it at the wall.
