Far Cry 6 contains a veritable arsenal of weapons for players to use in Dani’s quest to liberate Yara from Anton Castillo’s dictatorship. With all the options at your disposal, it’s important to know how to cycle between them. Here’s how to change weapons in Far Cry 6.
Changing Weapons in Far Cry 6
Press Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox to cycle between the multiple equipped primary weapons and your sidearm weapon. You can cycle between four weapons this way — three primary and one sidearm.
The third primary is a Resolver weapon, which essentially means that it’s usually something with a bit more firepower that was slapped together with spare parts. These include modified flamethrowers and guns that can shoot electricity.
Changing up which weapons are equipped will allow for more versatility in different situations. For example, having at least one silenced weapon handy at all times can prevent Dani from being detected by unaware hostiles, even when these enemies seemingly appear out of nowhere.
If you want to change the weapons found in your primary slots, you need to go into the ‘Arsenal’ menu, select the weapon in the slot you want to change, and then choose the weapon you want to replace it with.
