Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Fast Travel

Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a spin-off of the popular action RPG series. As the name suggests, this game is much more story-focused, and even the gameplay mechanics are completely different from what you’d typically expect of the series. This is a turn-based JRPG, with a large world for you to explore as you go through the story. Here’s how to fast travel in Monster Hunter Stories 2.

Considering that this game features a pretty huge open-world with tons of monster nests for you to check out and explore, a fast travel system is pretty much essential if you want to get around the map quickly. Thankfully, there is such a feature in Monster Hunter Stories 2, and you can unlock it within the first few hours of the game.

After exploring the Grasslands section as part of the story and finishing the second major boss fight, as you head back towards the village, you’ll find a Catavan station. These are basically wooden posts with a Felyne stationed next to them, and if you interact with it, it’ll bring up a map that also indicates all of the Catavan stations and major locations you’ve visited so far.

On the map, you can select any of the stations or villages to fast travel to at no cost at all. This will come in extremely handy as you uncover more of the map and find even more dungeons to explore, and being able to fast travel back and forth between locations will also allow you to complete side quests more efficiently.
