The Ferrari 296 GTB has just arrived in Fortnite, bringing a new blast of pace to the island. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Fortnite Ferrari locations and how to complete all challenges related to the new vehicle.
It’s worth noting immediately that the Fortnite Ferrari 296 GTB is actually just a slightly modified Whiplash, and it has replaced this car from July 22 until Oct. 6, 2021. During this time, players can hop in one and complete challenges to earn themselves some XP. These include the ones released in Wednesday’s week 7 challenges.
Where to Find a Ferrari in Fortnite
There are two places you can get the new Ferrari 296 GTB in Fortnite. The first is to go to Lazy Lake and search around the gas station and A Lot O’ Auto car dealership in the northeast corner of the named location. The Ferrari can spawn outside both of these locations, so be sure to check both.
Alternatively, you can head to Believer Beach in the northwest corner of the map. The Ferrari can spawn either by the gas station on the main road leading west or in the car park to the east.
It’s worth pointing out that while these Fortnite Ferrari locations can contain the new iconic car, there’s no guarantee that they’ll spawn in these spots every match. Vehicle spawns are random, so if they don’t show up in one match, simply try again in another.

The Ferrari challenges are actually incredibly easy. Reaching top speed can easily be achieved by driving the Ferrari on long, straight roads. Simply hold down the accelerate button (RT/R2 etc.) until the challenge is ticked off.
Driving a Fortnite Ferrari through the storm again is easy enough. Drive to the edge of the storm circle, go into it for a few seconds and then drive back out of it. Make sure you’ve got enough health to survive the storm’s drain and you’ll be fine.
Finally, you want to head to Lazy Lake to complete the Ferrari time trial. This was the Whiplash time trial in the week 7 challenges, but as the Fortnite Ferrari 296 GTB has replaced this vehicle, the challenges have also been tweaked.
