Castle Dimitrescu is filled to bursting with puzzles to solve, and they run the gamut from simple and easy to fiendish and infuriating. The Bell Puzzle definitely falls under the latter, and if you’ve been stumped on where to find every Bell in Resident Evil Village, you can rest easy knowing you’re not alone.
We were in the same boat, and after some trial and error, we’ve discovered the location of all five Bells. Read on to save yourself some headaches and get back to enjoying the rest of what the game has to offer.
Where to Find Every Bell in Resident Evil Village
As stated above, there are five Bells to find in the portrait room of Castle Dimitrescu. Some are in plain sight, while others are hidden unless you’re at a specific location.
The first can be found to the left of the painting in the middle of the room. It’ll be readily visible, and should be the first one you shoot.
The next Bell will be in the clockwork behind the wall to the left side of the room. It’ll swing back and forth, and will be most visible when it swings all the way to the left. Wait for it to swing in this direction, and pop off a shot while it’s fully exposed.
Resident Evil Village’s third Bell can be found on top of a cabinet on the right side of the room. It’ll be several times smaller than the other bells, so it’s easy to miss. Walk up to the cabinet until you have a clear sight of it, and then blast it with a round or two.
The next bell can only be spotted while at the top of the staircase in the back of the room. Climb up the staircase, and then shoot the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. This will expose a Bell, which you can shoot to activate while the chandelier is still swinging back from the force of the bullet.
The final Bell is the hardest to find, as it’s not actually inside the room. It is, however, visible from the top of the staircase after you shoot out the sky windows.
Blast the windows with a weapon of your choice, and then look out the broken opening. The last Bell will be visible in the fog, and you can hit it with a bullet from your handgun.
Once all the Bells have been shot, a secret passage will open up behind the massive portrait of Lady Dimitrescu. This will lead to a new portion of the castle, as well as a free Sniper Rifle for your trouble.
