Books in Ethan’s Study

Right at the start of the game, players are given free roam to explore Ethan and Mia’s home. There are many optional areas to look around, including a storage room and a study.

You’ll find an interesting book in each of these locations that refer back to two significant characters.

Interacting with the bookshelf in the study reveals a description for Gun Survivalist: A Heavy Firearms Manuel for Field Combat Situations by Joseph Kendo. You’ll remember the Kendo family from the Resident Evil 2 Remake, as we get a scene with them at the Kendo gunshop.

The second book can be found on the bookshelf in the storage room and is called A Historical look into the Architecture of Eastern European Castles and Keeps by George Trevor. Avid Resident Evil fans will recognize George Trevor as the designer of the Spencer Mansion from Resident Evil 1.
