Orichalcum is the rarest metal you can get in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, and you’ll need it if you’re going to upgrade your tools and repair the Old Hydroculture Plant in the third area of your farm that you unlock. Problem is, there’s no fourth mine on your farm where Orichalcum begins spawning regularly. Instead, you’ll really need to grind out to get your hands on it.
How to Get Orichalcum in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town
Orichalcum is the rarest ore that you can find in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
Mine It From Third Mine
The ore itself can be found in the third mine on your farm, between levels 40-50. That’s it’s final 10 levels, so you’ll have to do some serious grinding to get down there.
Once you’ve reached level 40-50, you want to keep an eye out for pale blue rocks. You need to break these to get Orichalcum Ore.
Even with your Hammer upgraded to gold, breaking Orichalcum to get its ore will take multiple hits.
On top of that, the mole enemies that appear in these final few levels of the third mine will release large electric shockwaves when they jump out of the ground, dealing damage to your stamina if they hit. As such, make sure you go in with plenty of food in your inventory to replenish as you go.
Get Orichalcum from the Stonebreaker Valley
It can also be found at the Stonebreaker Valley that the Navi-Sprite will take you to upon leveling up your Mining skill to level 9. Upon reaching this level, a cutscene will play where the orange Sprite will take you to a new magical area.
Here you can mine Orichalcum, as well as Iron, Silver and Gold. Once you’ve mined any Orichalcum that does spawn on this island, however, you’ll need to wait a few days for it to respawn. The other ores respawn faster.
Sprite Leader Shop
Finally, you can buy Orichalcum from the Boss Sprit at the top of the Earth Sprite Village, which can be accessed by talking to the Navi-Sprite by your house and selecting it from the menu.
It’ll cost you 2,000 Sprite Coins per Orichalcum Ore, however, so you’ll need to save up to buy it.
Turning Ore Into Orichalcum Ingots
Once you’ve got Orichalcum Ore from the caves, head over to one of the Ingot Makers on your farm.
You can convert five ore into one Orichalcum Ingot, which can then be used to help repair the Old Hydroculture Plant, or upgrade one of your tools.
