The convoy and how to use it is another mechanic in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light that isn’t really explained. If you’ve played newer Fire Emblem games then this system might seem pretty different. Here’s everything you need to know about how to use the convoy in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.
Instead of the convoy just being somewhere you can send items back and forth from, or it being a unit of its own that you bring on the field, the convoy acts kind of like a shop.
How to Use the Convoy in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light
There will be a convoy on each map and if you wish to withdraw from it, you’ll need to place a character on it and select convoy.
The merchant will tell you that items stored there can be picked up at other convoys and that you can store items for ten gold each.
If you wish to take something, select take.
If you wish to give something select give and pay ten gold.
If you’re holding four items already, you will not be able to take anything from the convoy. The same goes for buying new items; if you have a full inventory, you simply cannot send one of your existing items to the convoy to make room.
The convoy can only hold forty items and can only be accessed by standing on the convoy tile. It’s not moveable and can’t be accessed by talking to the Lord like in modern Fire Emblem entries.
That’s it for everything you need to know about how to use the convoy in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. Check out our other guides on which characters you should use, how to trade items, and how to use time rewind.
