Top 10 Best Bugsnax That Are Too Cool to Eat

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

10. Kweeble

Recommended Videos

Kweeble is one of the most inventive designs in Bugsnax. The kiwi creature has a spoon coming out of its face that acts as its nose, and it’s soooo tiny.

Also, how a Bugsnax says its own name is a huge part of how good it is, and Kweeble’s squeaky voice is perfect for its design. The way it acts isn’t the most exciting, running around Shimmering Sands doing not a lot, but how can you not love it?

9. Sherbie

Top 10 Best Bugsnax

The Sherbie isn’t a Bugsnak you’re likely to see very often. Hidden right at the far end of Boiling Bay, it’s somewhat overshadowed there by the Paletoss and Flamin’ Cheepoofs.

Find one though, and you’ll soon see why we love it. It’s tiny and cute, being made up of just three scoops of ice-cream, hiding in the sand if you get too close. It’s also not an annoying creature, being easy to grab whenever you want it.

8. Kwookie

I love an Oreo. An Oreo with legs? Even better… I think. The Kwookie zips around the Sugarpine Woods, trying to avoid the Charmallows that’ll set it on fire and the Bopsicles that’ll freeze it.

They’re quite quick and will run away if you get too close to them, but catch one and you’ll see just how cute it is. Also, being able to change Grumpus’ teeth into them looks so ridiculous.

7. Poptick

The smallest snak in the game, the Popticks are easy to miss in Scorced Sand. They’re not the easiest to catch, jumping around in the small stream, but attract the Scorpenyo to shoot fire at it and they’ll pop in no time.

When popped, the Poptick are even cuter. There’s even a Caramel Poptick too, which will only appear in Flavor Falls when it’s raining, and is a cool variation.

6. Cinnasnail

Catching these can be a little bit of a pain, as you get used to the grabber tool, but Cinnasnails are great, especially after you’ve fed them to someone in Snaxburg. Turning Chandlo’s arms and legs into spirally cinnamon swirls actually looks good, so you’ll need to catch a few of the snak.

5. Strabby

It’s hard to look past the mascot of Bugsnax. They’re just strawberries with leafy legs and googly eyes, but they’re iconic in Snaktooth Island.

Even its Bugapedia description reads, “a very simple Snak,” so there’s not much to them, but think of a Bugsnak and they’ll likely be the first that come to mind due to cuteness factor alone. The Razzby and White Strabby are great too, even it it’s just their color that changes.

4. Charmallow

There are a couple of flying snax in Bugsnax that are fun to play around with. The Charmallow is one of my favorite because it’s attracted to chocolate and you can just mess around by firing sauce at anything and everything so that it goes around setting stuff on fire.

Considering how simple and laid back a lot of Bugsnax is, creating some chaos is a nice change. Also, how can you ignore a little flying marshmallow that turns into a smore when touched by a frozen snak? You can’t.

3. Shy Weenyworm

Only motivated by Ketchup, the standard Weenyworm is pretty basic. With mustard, onion, lettuce and more on in, however, the Shy Weenyworm is much more interesting, actually hating Ketchup rather than loving it.

You’ll need to break down one of the walls with a Spuddy (grrrr) in Scorched Gorge to find it, and it’s nice and easy to catch, but it’s one of the more interesting and cute creatures in Bugsnax.

2. Bopsicle

top 10 best bugsnax

The frozen Bugsnax are often quite annoying as they’ll coat you in ice just at the wrong time or just as you’re about to catch something you need for a quest. The design of the Bopsicle is great though.

As long as you can get away from them for long enough to stay warm, the process of catching one is a lot of fun. Lure a Charmallow, one of my other favorite, to it and you’ll melt the Bopsicle before it counts down to an explosion.

Then, it split into two colorful, smaller Bopsicles that you can just grab. They’re a snak that does more than just wander around until they’re caught, while also being cute in their separate form.

1. Bunger

Bunger. Bunger. Bunger. That’s why it’s the best Bugsnax. Plain and simple. How can you not repeat it every time you hear a Bunger utter its own name?

It’s not the trickiest snak to deal with either. Yes, it’ll confuse you a little early on as you attempt to get two to run into each other, but they’re actually not too tough to manage. Also, it’s fun getting bounced up in the air by one. They’ve got a bit of everything you want from a Bugsnax.
