Among Us: How to Sabotage Lights

No matter what side you’re on in Among Us, you’re going to need to be calculating, perceptive, and deceptive if you want to survive and win the game. When playing as the Imposter, there is no better way to do that than by covering the whole map in darkness. Here is everything you need to know about how to sabotage lights in Among Us.

It is important to note that Crewmates aren’t able to sabotage lights. Only Imposters can do it. 

Depending on your settings, Imposters can do this a few times a match, turning the entire area aside from a small cone of vision around cremates pitch black. 

The only way to get the lights back on is to head to Electrical and fix the lights with a task.

This is obvioulsy a great strategy for killing people, as you know where they are headed and have the cover of darkness to hide your actions. It also helps that Imposters can see like normal during the blackout.

How to Sabotage Lights in Among Us

All you have to do as an Imposter to sabotage the lights is click on the sabotage icon in the bottom right. You’ll see plenty of different things you can mess with while in this menu, including lights.

You can always find lights in the Electrical section, signified by the lightning bolt. As long as your sabotage isn’t in cooldown, simply click on the lightning bolt to turn off the power and send everyone sprinting toward Electrical, right into the palm of your hands.

How to Sabotage Lights in Among Us:

  1. Play as the Imposter.

  2. Open the sabotage menu.

    You might have to wait for a cooldown depending on the last sabotage you did or the timing of the last meeting or start of the game.

  3. Go to Electrical on the sabotage map and click on the lightning bolt icon.
