Once you’ve wrapped up Star Wars Squadrons‘ single-player, it can be easy to forget about it and move on with the multiplayer. While you’re more than free to do that, given multiplayer is the order of the day, if you’re anything like me, you’ll find that the single-player story was really enjoyable.

If you do find yourself in that camp, try playing through the single-player campaign again on a higher difficulty. There’s a trophy/achievement tied to completing the game on each of the four different difficulty levels. If you’re feeling really brave, go for the ‘Ace’ difficulty. You’ll come out a true pro in the cockpit of any starfighter by the time the credits roll on that playthrough.

Star Wars Squadrons‘ multiplayer has a seasons-like system called Operations. Every eight weeks, a new Operation will be made available, resetting your Fleet Battle Rank, offering up Operation Challenges, and giving you the chance to unlock new cosmetics.

While you’ll no doubt be working on improving your Fleet Battle Rank to help you net large amounts of Glory, you’ll also want to focus on leveling up.

Leveling up is done by earning XP by doing just about anything in a multiplayer match. Each time you level up, you’ll get some Requisition, which can be spent on parts for your ship that will change its stats. By the time you reach level 40, you’ll have enough Requisition to unlock everything in Star Wars Squadrons. Do this, unlock everything you can, and then be prepared for a hefty customization session.

With all that Requisition and a fair amount of Glory racked up from playing enough multiplayer to reach level 40, you’ll be in a position where a lot of the customization options can or already will be unlocked.

At this point, it’s time to start creating your perfect starfighters. Find which ships resonate with you the most, and then get busy tweaking their various components and cosmetic elements to make a ship that just screams YOU! The vast blackness of space can get really busy when playing Fleet Battles, so make sure you stand out from the crowd every time you hop into a match.

Play With Friends Online

You don’t have to play the game with friends, but it’s a whole lot better when you do. Not only can you communicate more effectively with your friends, who all hopefully have headsets, but you’ll also be able to devise tactics on how to approach each stage of a Fleet Battle. Or maybe you’re just a badass group of five that’ll stomp anyone who gets in your way in a Dogfight.

Whatever it is, playing with friends really makes Star Wars Squadrons resonate in a whole different way. And yes, screaming “Red leader standing by!” at the beginning of every match is, indeed, compulsory.

With multiplayer and single-player well and truly conquered by this point, there’s not a whole lot else for you to do other than wrap up any remaining trophies or achievements that you’ve not yet got.

Some of these will take a significant amount of time playing through and racking up kills, such as “Ultimate Weapon” which requires players destroy 1000 Starfighters in Dogfight matches. Others you may have simply missed when you’ve naturally played the game.

Either way, if you want to cement your place in the Star Wars Squadrons hall of fame, the platinum trophy/1000 Gamerscore is definitely one way to do so.
