Playing a game of Fleet Battles in Star Wars Squadrons‘ multiplayer is great fun, even if your team’s made up of you and four complete strangers. But you know what’s better than playing with strangers? Playing with friends! In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to play Star Wars Squadrons‘ multiplayer with friends, by both inviting players to your game, and accepting invites to theirs.
How to Play Star Wars Squadrons Multiplayer with Friends
Before you start searching for a multiplayer match, you need to first get into a Squad with your friends. Depending on whether you’re sending or accepting the invite, you’ll need to follow different steps. We’ve broken these down below.
Inviting Friends to Your Squad
First, open your Social menu by pressing the touchpad on PS4 or the View button on Xbox One.
Select your friend from your friends list, which should automatically populate, and press X/A on their name. Use the ‘Invite’ option to send them an invite.
Once they’ve accepted your invite, their name and pilot avatar should appear in the list on the left-hand side of the social screen. When all your friends are in your Squad, simply select the multiplayer mode you want to play and the game will do the rest.
Accepting Invites to Star Wars Squadrons Multiplayer
If your friend is going to be the host of your Squad, you’ll need to have them follow the same steps as outlined above and invite you.
You can accept this as you normally would on PS4 and Xbox One by pressing and holding the PlayStation and Xbox buttons respectively. If you miss the invite popping up, open your Social menu in the game and use R1/ RB to select the ‘Invitations’ tab.
Accept your friend’s invitation and be ready to enjoy some multiplayer fun!
How Many Friends Can Play Together?
