Pokemon Sword & Shield has moved away from the faraway island of Alola. That said, the desire to obtain Alolan forms of classic Pokemon is still strong due to their unique typings and abilities. Fortunately, there are still ways to get Alolan Pokemon without having to use Home. Here’s how to get Alolan Marowak in Pokemon Sword & Shield through the Isle of Armor expansion.
How to Get Alolan Marowak in Pokemon Sword & Shield
There are a number of ways to get your hands on Alolan Marowak in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
Let’s get the most direct and obvious route out of the way first. If you’re a Pokemon Home customer, you can simply transfer an Alolan Marowak from Sun and Moon into Sword and Shield. Easy peasy. You’re probably here because you don’t want to do that, but just throwing that out there in case you didn’t realize.
The in-game trick to get one is through the new expansion, Isle of Armor.
On the way to the dojo before the first bridge, there is a hiker that you can speak to. This is the Diglett Master, and he has a task for you: find all 150 of his Alolan Digletts scattered around the Isle of Armor. They can be seen by their distinctive hair poking out of the ground.
If you do this, you’ll be rewarded with Alolan Pokemon for every 5-10 that you find. In order to get rewarded Alolan Marowak, you have to find 50 Digletts for the Master. It’s not an insurmountable task, as there are a lot scattered about, but it’s going to take more than a few minutes.
Finally, of course, you can always trade for one as well if you wanted to and have a willing partner. And, if you have one and wanted more, if you breed the one that you have you’ll get a Cubone that can evolve into Alolan Marowak.
