There are a variety of different potions you can make in Minecraft that can give you temporary buffs and abilities. How to Make Potion of Swiftness
The steps below will talk you through how to make a Potion of Swiftness that will last three minutes. After this time has elapsed, the effects will wear off and you’ll return to moving around at normal speed.
To make a Potion of Swiftness, you’ll need the following ingredients or crafting materials:
- Water Bottle
- Nether Wart
- Sugar
- Blaze Powder
1. Add Blaze Powder to Brewing Stand
Once you’ve got all of the above materials, walk over to your Brewing Stand and place your Blaze Powder in the box furthest to the left. If you don’t have Blaze Powder, you won’t be able to brew your potion.
2. Add Water Bottle
The next step is to place your empty Water Bottle in any of the bottom three boxes on the Brewing Stand screen. It doesn’t matter which one of these three boxes you put it in.
3. Place the Nether Wart in the Top Box
With the Water Bottler and Blaze Powder in-place, the next step is to add the Nether Wart. This is done by putting it in the top box on the Brewing Stand screen.
When you do, you’ll notice the bubbles between the Blaze Powder and the Nether Wart turn white. This indicates that the brewing process has begun. Wait for the Nether Wart to disappear. When it does, this step is complete.
4. Add the Sugar
The final thing we need to do is add the sugar to the same box that the Nether Wart was in. Again, wait for it to disappear.
Once the Sugar has disappeared, you’ll hear a glugging noise which indicates you’ve successfully brewed a potion in Minecraft. You’ll now have the Potion of Swiftness (3:00) in the bottom of the Brewing Stand which can now be added to your inventory.
Other Uses for Potion of Swiftness (3:00)
The Potion of Swiftness (3:00) can be used to brew a Splash Potion of Swiftness. This can be thrown at a mob or player to give them the Speed buff and a 20% boost in movement speed.
To make a Splash Potion of Swiftness, simply place your Potion of Swiftness (3:00) into the bottom of a Brewing Stand and add Gunpowder into the top box. Once the brewing has finished, you’ll then have a Splash Potion of Swiftness.
