Fallout 76: How to Get the Gauss Minigun & All Mods
The Gauss Minigun is one of the new weapons added in as part of Fallout 76’s Wastelanders update. It’s a powerful, automatic ballistic weapon that’s perfect for ripping through even the toughest Scorchbeasts that roam the Appalachian wasteland. Here’s how to get the Gauss Minigun in Fallout 76.
Getting the Gauss Minigun in Fallout 76

You can get the plan for the Gauss Minigun by completing the Wastelanders main quest line. After completing this, you’ll then need to make sure you’ve got the ‘Ally’ reputation with the Raiders.
After doing this, speak to Mortimer at the Raider’s base and you’ll be able to purchase the Gauss Minigun plan for 750 Gold Bullion.
Once you’ve got the plan, you can simply go to any weapons workbench and select to craft the Gauss Minigun. Keep in mind that you’ll need the following materials in order to actually make it.
- Aluminum x18
- Circuitry x6
- Legendary Module x2
- Screw x15
- Silver x4
- Spring x6
- Steel x15
As long as you’ve got these materials and have a Science level of 1, you’ll be able to craft the Gauss Minigun.
Obtaining the Gauss Minigun
Once you’ve got the plan to craft it, the Gauss Minigun is then a possible drop from legendary enemies. It can also be dished out as a reward for completing quests, so if you’re struggling for the materials, don’t worry too much.
