While Gears Tactics may be set before Marcus, Dom, Cole and Baird came into the picture as Delta Squad, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist within the universe. The Cole Train himself was a Thrashball superstar prior to E-Day, and the preorder DLC for Gears Tactics enables players to bring Thrashball Cole into the tactics action. Redeeming Thrashball Cole in Gears Tactics
First off, it’s important to point out that not everybody gets Thrashball Cole. Only those players who have preordered Gears Tactics or play the game through Xbox Game Pass for PC will be able to unlock Thrashball Cole.
If you’re one of the lucky people who is entitled to getting the Cole Train himself, you’ll receive the below in-game message informing you that you’ll gain access to Thrashball Cole in Act 1 Chapter 4.
It’s then simply a case of playing through the game’s campaign until you complete Act 1 Chapter 4. At this point, Augustus “Cole Train” Cole will be unlocked and added to your list of ‘Heroes’ within the Barracks menu.
Thrashball Cole is a Vanguard unit in Gears Tactics. He’ll join your team at level 3, and as a Vanguard will be equipped with a Retro Lancer. He’ll also come with the Thrashball Armor Set that has plenty of rare and handy abilities.
