The day has finally come. Final Fantasy VII Remake is now out in the wild and players are able to finally dive into this epic adventure. If you were certain you were getting the game, chances are you might have preordered it. Or maybe you splashed out a bit more and got the Deluxe or 1st Class Edition. Either way, you’ll have some DLC to redeem. Here’s how to redeem Chocobo Chick Summon Preorder DLC in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Redeeming Preorder & Special Edition DLC Codes
There are three different types of bonus DLC you can get depending on whether you preordered the game and what version of the game you got. These are:
- Preorder Bonus – Chocobo Chick Summon DLC
- Deluxe and First Class Editions – Cactuar Summon Materia DLC & Carbuncle Summon Materia DLC
If you preordered or purchase Final Fantasy 7 Remake digitally, these will automatically be downloaded alongside the game.
Preorder DLC for physical copies will come in the form of a code, either sent to you by your preferred online retailer, or in the box.
The Cactuar Summon Materia and Carbuncle Summon Materia DLCs found in the physical Deluxe Edition and First Class Editions of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will also be in the box alongside your copy of the game.
Once you’ve located your DLC codes, simply head to the PlayStation Store and select the ‘Redeem Code’ option from the left-hand sidebar. Enter the code as displayed and confirm you want to download the content.
How to Get Chocobo Chick Summon DLC in Final Fantasy 7 Remake
With the codes redeemed, it’s now a case of claiming your items in the game itself.
Load up the game and you’ll be greeted by this screen as long as you’ve downloaded the DLC correctly.
All you need to do now is either start your game, open the menu by pressing the Options button, and then going to System. From here, select ‘DLC’ and you’ll then be able to select which content you want to unlock and use in the game.
You’ll now have the ability to summon the Chocobo Chick, Cactuar, or Carbuncle when in combat to help you defeat your enemies.
