The good news is that you won’t have to do anything to get cherry blossom trees, also know as pink blossom trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Any of the normal trees you find on your island that don’t bear fruit will eventually turn into pink blossom trees in the month of April.

This is because pink blossom trees are an ‘event‘ on the calendar in the game. Specifically, the event begins in April and will last for a couple of months. During this time, you’ll also be able to get Cherry Blossom Petals for crafting recipes that require it.

Once these generic trees on your island have turned this pink color, you’ll then notice that petals are occasionally falling to the floor as you’re walking about.

To get Cherry Blossom Petals, you’ll need to get your Net out and catch them as they’re in the air before they fall to the floor.

These do fall pretty quickly, so you’ll need to make sure you’ve got lightning-fast reactions and have your Net equipped and at the ready to swing as soon as you see one.
