Doom Eternal: How to Open Yellow Access Door (Hell on Earth Mission)

There are doors you need to try and unlock throughout Doom Eternal. The first one you come across is near the end of the first mission, called Hell on Earth, and you won’t be used to doing what needs to be done. So that you can continue on, here’s everything you need to know about how to open the yellow access door in Doom Eternal’s Hell on Earth mission.

The section this is in reference to is when your objective is to ‘Interrupt the Daegic Council’ as you search for the first Hell Priest.

How to Open Yellow Access Door (Hell on Earth Mission) in Doom Eternal

First of all, it’s towards the end of the mission. You’ll emerge from a broken building and head down a hill towards a dead end. On the left, you’ll see the Yellow Access Door (as shown in the screenshot below).

The first thing you need to do is kill all the enemies around you. Clear out the area and you’ll be able to progress.

You’ll then see the orange barriers opposite the Yellow Access Gate disappear, allowing you to go through them.

You’ll then need to smash the wall that’s cracked and green in-front of you. You can either melee it with R3, or dash into it if you’ve unlocked that ability with circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One.

Then, follow around and up onto the higher part with enemies on it. Turn around to your left and you’ll see a wall that can be grabbed onto and climbed using dash or R3.

Climb up and head inside and you’ll find a glowing card for the Yellow Access Door. Walk over it and you’ll then be able to go over to the door.

With it, the door will unlock and you’ll be able to carry on with the level.
