This year has been great for gamers, and we’d like you to help us assign another award with all the weight of our readers’ opinions behind it.

This year we’re going to do things a bit differently compared to last year, and let you vote among as many nominees as we can come up with. This lets us cover a wide range of tastes, platforms, genres, nationalities, and development cultures. Once the survey closes, your votes will be tallied, and the winner will be announced.

Considering the sheer amount of titles involved, please make sure to scroll through the list and check them all out, unless you have a clear winner in mind.

You have time until Thursday, Dec. 26 at 11:59 PM EST to vote, and the results will be announced shortly afterward.

To vote, you can simply use the poll below (or click here if you’re on mobile). To limit votes to one per person and avoid spam, you’ll need to log in with a Gmail account.

We’re aware that this isn’t ideal, but if you don’t have one, they’re quick and easy to make. This is the best way we have to keep things as fair as possible. You can also alter your vote until the deadline, in case you change your mind.

In order to avoid providing an advantage to any of our nominees, the list is randomly generated every time it’s loaded, so everyone will see the games listed in a different order.

This is a chance not only to express your opinion but also to honor the developers who worked hard to create the games you loved the most in 2019. So get voting (and feel free to campaign for your favorite game in the comments) and may the best game win!

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
