6. Nyoka
Best Companions in The Outer Worlds
Let’s start this out with a caveat, even though Nyoka is in last on our list of the best companions in The Outer World, she’s not bad in any way, it’s just that the other companions in The Outer Worlds are better, based on a combination of use in battle as well as personality.
Nyoka’s schtick is something that you’ve seen from party members before, that battle-hardened veteran who’s constantly drunk. There’s more context to all of that, of course, looping in Nyoka’s past with her comrades.
In battle, Nyoka is best with heavy gattling guns, and her companion ability plays to that as well. She’s good at causing damage but doesn’t have much in the way of staggering enemies or causing status effects.
Nyoka’s is good, but everyone else is just more memorable.
