Marin is one of the NPCs you’ll need the help of a fair bit throughout your adventure across Koholint Island in Zelda Link’s Awakening. Here’s where Marin is after Animal Village in Link’s Awakening, as well as the other locations she will be throughout the course of the game.
Where to Find Marin After Animal Village
At the start of Link’s Awakening, Marin can be found by the fountain in Mabe Village, just north from the house you start out at. However, as you found out when you needed to move the walrus that wanted to hear her sing, she’s no longer there.
Marin actually moves about a few times throughout Zelda Link’s Awakening, but this is the last time you’ll have to seek her out to help you advance in the game.
After you’ve awoken the Walrus, Marin will then head to Animal Village so she can sing to all the animals there. The praise of the walrus clearly got to her head!
After Animal Village, however, you’ll find that Marin has been kidnapped by monsters and, of course, it’s down to us as Link to save her.
After Animal Village, Marin can be found on the rickety old bridge between Tal Tal Heights. Keep in mind you will need the Hookshot here if you’re going to save her, as the bridge is anything but sturdy.
Zelda Link’s Awakening Marin Locations
As we noted above, this isn’t the first time you’ve had to track down Marin in the game, but it is the last. If you’ve stumbled upon this guide looking for one of Marin’s locations prior to her being kidnapped. You’ll want to check the following places:
- Mabe Village Fountain – The first time you need to and can speak to Marin, you’ll find here in Mabe Village just north from the house you started at.
- Far East of Beach Shore – When you need to try and find her to wake up the walrus with her voice, you’ll need to head to the very south of the island to the beach. Then head as far east along here as you can to find her waiting for you.
- Animal Village – After waking up the walrus, as we previously mentioned, Marin can be found in Animal Village. If you’re reading this guide you likely already knew that, though.
How to Learn the Ballad of the Wind Fish
And if for some reason you still have not learned the Ballad of the Wind Fish from Marin, you should be able to find her standing next to the flying rooster statue in Mabe Village after you get your hands on the Ocarina from the Dream Shrine.
