FFXIV Shadowbringers: Where to Use the Aetherial Lamp in Rak’Tika

With the brand new Shadowbringers expansion in Final Fantasy XIV comes a whole new story arc and new MSQs to complete. About midway through the story, you’ll be tasked with using an Aetherial Lamp for Emet-Selch. If you’re having trouble finding the exact location, here’s where to use the Aetherial Lamp in the Rak’Tika Greatwood in FFXIV Shadowbringers.

Where to Use the Aetherial Lamp in Rak’Tika

What It’s For

After the dramatic events in the temple at Rak’Tika, Y’shtola presumably dies when she throws herself into a pit. However, just when we think all is lost, Emet-Selch tells us that he can retrieve her soul from the lifestream.

To do so, we need to use an Aetherial Lamp to find a suitable spot for him to look into the lifestream.

Where to Use the Aetherial Lamp

First things first, check your map and go to the large orange circle indicated there. The covered area is very large, however, and there’s no real indication of where you should actually use the Lamp.

We’ve got you covered, though. The screenshot down below shows the exact spot and location you should stand and use the Aetherial Lamp.

The coordinates are X: 33.4, Y: 20.4. Stand there, open your inventory and go to the key items tab, then select the Aetherial Lamp to use it.

The game will then prompt you to call Emet-Selch over, and a cutscene will play as he works his Ascian magic.
