Dragon Quest Builders 2: How to Get Infinite Materials

As fun as it may be to spend hours gathering materials for crafting in Dragon Quest Builders 2, you wouldn’t be blamed for wanting to know how to get infinite materials through cheats, glitches or otherwise. Fortunately, we’ve got some good news for you. Obtaining infinite materials is not only possible, but readily available to players without the use of cheats. This applies to everything from common materials like wood and dried grass to rarer, harder to find items.

The only catch is that players will need to complete scavenger hunts on the smaller islands scattered throughout the seas surrounding the Isle of Awakening, and there are a few hoops you’ll need to jump through to get to them.

How to Get Infinite Materials in Dragon Quest Builders 2

Accessing Scavenger Hunt Islands

To start, the smaller islands with scavenger hunts can only be accessed after returning to the Isle of Awakening from Furrowfield.

After beginning the construction of a river throughout the Isle, you’ll be informed that you need to travel to the smaller islands in search of a chicken for one of your villagers.

From here, you’ll be able to choose which islands you’d like to visit. Each is unlocked with Gratitude points, and has its own scavenger hunts to partake in to unlock an infinite amount of a certain resource.

Complete Scavenger Hunts

As for what you’ll need to do to complete each scavenger hunt, the rules are fairly simple.

Once you reach the island, you’ll see a list with pictures of items pop up on the right side of the screen. Above them will be a picture of the material you’ll gain an infinite supply of if you find every item on the list.

Each of the items listed can be examined by walking up to them and pressing the X button, after which they’ll be marked off the list.

Once you find all of the items, an infinite supply of the aforementioned material will be made available at any and all workbenches in the game.
