BTS World: How to Upgrade Cards

With BTS taking over the music world, it was only a matter of time until we saw a mobile game released that was based on them and their story. BTS is almost like fan fiction though, with you waking up one day as the manager of the band before each of the members even knew each other. The actual gameplay involves cards that you get as you play. To progress as far as you can through the game’s levels, here’s everything you need to know about how to upgrade cards in BTS World.

Leveling Up Cards

As you progress, the stats required from the cards you use will increase, so you need to upgrade the cards you have so that you have one with stats that allow you to complete a level.

It’s often best to see what’s needed in the next level before you upgrade a card so that you’re upgrading the one that’ll help you the most.

To upgrade them, you need to start on the BTS Story menu part of BTS World. You then need to press the little + icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select ‘Manage Cards’.

Then, you’ll see all the cards you have in your collection at that time. To upgrade them, select the one you want and make sure that you have some flowers.

There are three types of flowers, with each one granting more XP for cards in BTS World, and you get them for completing missions and as rewards for logging in. You have a few options for using them though.

You can upgrade with single flowers by pressing on the flower icon you want to use and then pressing level up. Alternatively, you can upgrade as far as you can with the flowers you have by pressing ‘Max Level’ or use however many flowers you need to increase the card’s level by one by pressing ‘+1 Level’.

You can then cancel any leveling up by pressing the X that is by the number that appears above the flower icon. It’s only there momentarily, so be quick if you upgraded accidentally.

Upgrading Cards in BTS World

Once you get further into BTS World, you progress past leveling up cards to officially upgrading them. To access those options, you need to press ‘Upgrade’ on the page of the card you want to improve.

To actually upgrade cards at this point though, you’ll need the card to be at level 30 or higher and have some upgrade stones. Upgrade stones are obtained by exchanging DNA or duplicate cards.

From the card’s screen in the Manage Cards section, press ‘Exchange’ and you’ll be able to see if you have any duplicates to swap.

You can also get them for completing some Card Missions, such as reaching certain level thresholds. To exchange DNA for upgrade stones, you need to press on the little card symbol on the right-hand side of the card’s page, which will take you to a store where you can make whatever swaps you want. You can then use the stones to upgrade cards further.
