Like with all Devil May Cry games, DMC 5 lets you change your character’s clothes. What better way to tear up the battlefield than by looking stylish while doing it? If you want to mix things up a bit and give your character a new look, here’s how you can change costumes in Devil May Cry 5.

Before the start of every stage in the game, you’ll have to pick which character you want to use. There’s usually only one choice, but some stages let you choose from multiple characters.

Regardless of which you choose, you will have the option to change a character’s costume after you select them in Devil May Cry 5. Their new clothes will also affect how they look during cutscenes, so make sure to pick your favorite outfit.

It’s worth noting that once you’re finally in a match, you won’t be able to change your outfit anymore. The only way you can change costumes in Devil May Cry 5 is from the start of a mission. This means that you’ll have to quit your quest if you want to pick another outfit for your character.

The game has a DLC pack that gives each character recolors of their original costumes called Alt Hero or Heroine. For those wondering, these recolors are the only costumes in the game. Each of these skins pay homage to different characters from the series, all except for Nico:

  • EX Dante – Pays homage to DmC: Devil May Cry.
  • EX Nero – Based around the Order of the Sword.
  • EX Lady – Based on Trish.
  • EX Trish – Based on Gloria.

That about wraps up everything you need to know about how to change costumes in Devil May Cry 5. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our expansive guide wiki.
