How to Save Your Game in Anthem

Recommended Videos

Anthem is a brand new online multiplayer RPG developed by BioWare and released by EA. The campaign itself can be pretty lengthy, so unless you want to beat the whole thing in one sitting, you’ll probably be interested in knowing how to save your game in Anthem.

The good news is, because it’s an always-online game, this means that Anthem is constantly keeping track of your progress with auto-saves and checkpoints.

Auto-Saves in Anthem

Whenever you harvest materials from a resource node, craft a weapon, purchase items, or customize your Javelin, your progress will be automatically recorded. This way, you don’t ever have to worry about losing any progress in case your power cuts out.

On the flip side, this also means that your decisions in Anthem are final, so you’ll want to be careful with how you allocate your resources.

The only time your progress might be lost is when you quit the game while you’re in the middle of an expedition or mission.

If you quit Anthem while you’re out in the open world, you’ll lose any mission progress you might’ve made in that specific session. The next time you boot up the game again, you’ll spawn back in Fort Tarsis where you’ll have to redo your incomplete mission.

As far as we can tell, there is no way to manually save your game in Anthem aside from quitting it completely.

How to Quit the Game

Now that you know most of your progress will be auto-saved, you can quit the game without any fear. Bring up the main menu by pressing the Esc key, Options button, or Menu button, then go to the Settings tab.

From here, you can exit to the game’s main menu or quit the game completely. The next time you log back in, the game will start you off at Fort Tarsis.

As mentioned before, there’s no way to manually save, so you can just quit the game once you’re done with that play session.

That’s all you need to know about how to save your game in Anthem. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
