Here is everything you need to know about how to get slayer points in Old School RuneScape.

Much like the Goonies, RuneScape never dies, as Old School RuneScape is an exact copy of the beloved 2001 game. The title has seen plenty of modern upgrades since release in 2013, with engine improvements, new content, and quality of life patches being implemented.

With those modern improvements come more accessibility and information as well. More importantly, you can rely on Twinfinite for helpful guides to get you through parts of RuneScape that are stumping you.

Slayer Masters

Slayer points are very important in Old School RuneScape, as it is an in-game skill system that allows players to kill monsters that may otherwise be immune to damage. In order to earn these points, you’ll have to visit a slayer master.

Slayer masters are NPCs that task you with killing a certain number of monsters. Upon completing these assignments, they will reward you with skill points that will raise your overall slayer level.

In total, there are seven different masters, each requiring a certain slayer and combat level in order to assign you monsters to kill. Alongside skill points, these characters are also merchants, ones that have a long list of useful slayer equipment available for purchase.

How to Earn Slayer Points

Since 2014, things have changed regarding how you can earn these points. Instead of requiring players to complete a quest and merely limiting them to completing tasks, Old School RuneScape has a few different ways it can be done now.

Slayer points can now be earned through completing assignments or challenges from most masters, excluding Turael and Spria, by trading in finished Tuska masks, or by completing contracts on the Arc given by Ling.

On top of this, the quest that players once need to complete, Smoking Kills, now doubles the number of points gained per task when completed. Listed below are the values of each quest once you’ve completed each fifth task, listed according to the Runescape Wiki.

  • Turael or Spria: 0
  • Mazchna or Achtryn: 2
  • Vannaka: 4
  • Chaeldar: 10
  • Sumona: 12
  • Duradel or Lapalok: 15
  • Kuradal: 18
  • Morvran: 20

Earning slayer points doesn’t stop there though, as Old School RuneScape rewards you with a 5x multiplier for the points for every 10th task completed and a 15x multiplier for every 50th task.

That is everything you need to know about how to get slayer points in Old School RuneScape. For more guides, be sure to check back to Twinfinite as needed.
