How to Catch Tree Tops Green Thief in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy
The Spyro the Dragon games put an emphasis on exploration, tucking away loads of different secrets for players to uncover in their various levels. In particular, the green thief in the Tree Tops level of the first Spyro the Dragon can be tough to find. Here’s how to catch the Tree Tops green thief in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
At the very start of the level, you’ll see the green thief, but he’ll run away and then be tucked away on a distant platform along with a Dragon Statue. From the start, torch the enemies ahead of you and then hop up the stairs, but instead of going through the doorway jump through the two windows on your left. Follow this path up and around until you need to glide over to a platform with a bunch of huts and a supercharge ramp.
You’ll need to use this supercharge ramp, but here’s where things get tricky. We’ll list out the steps, but it’s very possible to not nail the sequence for the first few times.
Charge down the ramp and jump over to the platform with the green obelisk. Then jump off of the small wooden platform to the top right and over to the ramp. Jump off of that ramp but with this jump curve around to your right and land on the ramp with arrows pointing the opposite direction.
Then jump over to the plain wooden ramp ahead, and jump straight off the end. You’ll see a platform a ways away, ahead of you, so follow through with the jump and glide the rest of the way. Once you land on the platform you’ll see the green thief and the Dragon Statue. You might need to chase the thief around a little but torch him and you’ll get a shiny purple gem to add to your collection.
