Money is all-important when playing Red Dead Redemption 2, and that’s even more true for the likes of Red Dead Online. Making money can be a slow process in Red Dead Online but a few things, like the Bards Crossing Treasure Map, can help you make a quick buck.

We’ll cover everything you need to know about the Bards Crossing Treasure Map, including how to get the map and where to find the treasure in Red Dead Online.

How to Get the Bards Crossing Treasure Map

Getting the Bards Crossing Treasure Map is the easy part, and you won’t actually need to expend any energy at all to get it. The treasure map is freely given to you as a reward for reaching Rank 10 in Red Dead Online.

Once you’ve reached Rank 10 you’ll need to head to a Post Office to actually claim the treasure map and start looking for the treasure. Make sure to open the map and take a look at it first, and you’ll have one of three locations marked on your map.

Where to Find the Bards Crossing Treasure

The Bards Crossing Treasure will be randomly given to you in one of three locations in Red Dead Online. Below are screenshots showing the rough locations of the three treasure boxes. Thanks to YouTube user Gtamen for the screenshots and info.

All three of these locations will have a treasure box, but only one will actually be for you. This means you might have to search all three before you end up finding the actual treasure.

When you get to the designated areas there are a couple different ways to find the treasure location. If you have your controller vibration function on, your controller will vibrate harder the closer you get to the treasure, meaning you can use this as a kind of hot and cold way of finding it.

Additionally, you can use Eagle Eye to search for the treasure location. The treasure will have a stream of gold sparkles shooting skyward, just like the legendary animals do in the main game of Red Dead Redemption 2.

In order of screenshots, the first treasure can be found on a small patch of land near the river between a rock and a beached log. The second is right near the edge of the cliff on the north side. The third will be a bottom of a small cliff, in between some fallen rocks.

Using these locations and the two ways of finding the treasure listed above, you shouldn’t have much trouble tracking down the Bards Crossing Treasure. Your reward should be around 50 gold nuggets and a cool 100 dollars. Certainly not a shabby reward, and one that should help you along nicely in Red Dead Online.
