Black Ops 4: How to Get CoD Points & How to Use Them

How to Get Black Ops 4 CoD Points & How to Use Them

Recommended Videos

CoD Black Ops 4 is the latest entry in Activision’s ever-popular first-person shooter franchise. This year’s iteration was developed by Treyarch, and instead of including a single-player campaign like they usually do, Black Ops 4 is all about the multiplayer this time around. In addition to that, CoD Points are making a return in this game. Here’s what you need to know about to get CoD Points in Black Ops 4 and use Black Ops 4 CoD Points in the game.

CoD Points are now live in Black Ops 4, and they can be used to purchase Special Orders and Black Market tiers for the multiplayer modes, Zombies, and Blackout.

Special Orders are essentially a new tier of cosmetic rewards that you can unlock as you grind through them. Treyarch has stated that Special Orders will be on a rotation, so you’ll probably want to spend your CoD Points once you spot one that you like. Once you’ve purchased a Special Order and unlocked it, you’ll keep it permanently and can grind through it in your own time.

In addition to that, CoD Points can also be used to purchase Black Market tiers, allowing you to instantly unlock whatever rewards they’re tied to. However, if you want the rewards associated with a higher tier, you’ll need to purchase all the lower tiers first.

With the microtransactions now available in Black Ops 4, you can check the in-game store to claim your existing CoD Points that came with the pre-order, or buy more from your platform’s digital storefront.

At this point in time, it’s also unclear exactly what you’ll be able to spend your Black Ops 4 CoD Points on. As always, there are tons of cosmetics and other inconsequential items that you can unlock, and you’ll probably be able to spend your Points on those. Interestingly enough, there also doesn’t seem to be any loot box-type Supply Drop system in this game like there has been in past iterations, so it’s unknown exactly how the in-game purchases will be handled.

Still, once the microtransactions have gone live, we’ll be sure to update this article with relevant information on the premium currency, along with how you can get and use them in the game.
