Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Blackout Character Skins and Missions in Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

Blackout, the brand new battle royale mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is packed with skins for players to collect. However, obtaining some of the more popular character skins will require more work outside of leveling up or simply purchasing them.

Character missions are a way of changing up the progression in Blackout and offering a bit of variety to the genre.

However, they are not available to players immediately and will require opening supply drops or looting players in Blackout to receive a note to start a specific mission.

To be clear, these are the supply drops that fall from planes during a Blackout match, not something you can purchase with microtransactions.

Once you’ve received the note in-game, you will be given a list of challenges that must be completed in the same match. If you fail, you will have to find the note again and start over in a different game.

Keep in mind that not every character in the game has a mission currently available for them. These may come through a later patch or an event, that is still unclear. However, there are still plenty of character missions to obtain and work towards for the time being.

Players like to express themselves through cosmetics in battle royale games for different reasons. Maybe a player has a rare skin from back in the day to show they have been around since the beginning, or maybe they have a skin that requires grinding to obtain.

Either way, cosmetics are an important part of the battle royale experience and a strong motivational tool to keep players coming back for more.

Characters from the Black Ops, Zombies, and Specialist series are all included as skins in Blackout. In fact, you will get a trophy for collecting all of the skins in a specific set.

For collecting the Black Ops series characters, you will unlock the Blackout Historian trophy. For getting the Zombies crew, you will unlock the Zombie Fanatic trophy. And finally, for gathering all of the Specialists, you will unlock the Specialist Super Fan trophy.

That does it for how to get skins in Blackout within Black Ops 4.
