How to Upgrade Attributes in NBA 2K19

Part of the challenge of a fresh new NBA 2K game each year is the grind to get your player to the elusive 99 rating. NBA 2K19, of course, gives players another opportunity to make their player an unstoppable force on the court. You’ll shape your characters stats and skills by upgrading their attributes. Because pouring magical skill points into your attributes is far more fun than doing the whole ‘practice makes perfect’ thing. Here’s how to upgrade attributes in NBA 2K19.

First and foremost, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got a fair bit of VC saved up before you can upgrade attributes. This can be earned by completing matches throughout your career, or alternatively, you can purchase VC in various denominations as microtransactions in NBA 2K19.

Once you’ve got some VC amassed in NBA 2K19, you’ll want to press Triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One to open up the navigation menu and select Attributes, Badges + More. From there, you’re then going to be brought to a Snapshot menu that gives you a quick overview of your player’s cap breaker, fans, and teammate chemistry. Within this menu, however, you’ll also find Attributes, which you can open up in order to, as you may have guessed, upgrade attributes in NBA 2K19.

Now it’s simply a case of finding the attribute you want to upgrade on your player, select it, and then spend the VC on making them even better by pressing X on PS4 to or A on Xbox One to confirm.

It’s worth noting that you can also upgrade attributes by doing some drills over at the training facility. You can’t just cheese this, however, and you’ll only be able to do a few drills between each game in NBA 2K19, but every little bit helps, right?

That’s all you need to know to upgrade attributes in NBA 2K19. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
