Has the Revolver Been Vaulted in Fortnite? Here’s What You Need to Know
The arsenal of weapons available in Fortnite doesn’t always stay the same, as long-term fans are likely already aware of. The revolver, however, has been one of the long-standing weapons in Fortnite, packing a serious punch in a small, and fairly accurate sidearm. Today, Sept. 6 saw the release of Fortnite’s v5.40 update, bringing the new High Stakes Getaway mode to the table, alongside a number of other balances and changes to weapon rarity. Following the servers going back online, however, some players may be wondering where the revolver has gone. Here’s what you need to know about whether or not it’s vaulted.
Unfortunately, the revolver has succumbed to being vaulted in Fortnite. For those unfamiliar with this term, this essentially means that Epic Games has opted to remove the revolver from the game as it’s no longer significant to the overall balance, or it’s simply fallen out of favor with players, or conflicts with future weapons Epic Games plans to bring to the game. Which one of these reasons is to blame for it being vaulted, we’re not entirely sure, but all you need to know is that you’re no longer going to be able to get your hands on a revolver in the game anymore.
This wasn’t the only weapon to get vaulted in the v5.4 update for Fortnite, with the common suppressed submachine gun, rare rocket launcher, rare pistol and legendary bolt-action sniper rifle all receiving the same treatment.
That’s all you need to know regarding what’s going on with the revolver in the game. If you’re planning on diving into the High Stakes Getaway LTM in Fortnite, be sure to check out our tips and tricks for beginners here. For everything else, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
