Can You Go to Prison of Elders in Destiny 2 Forsaken?
Destiny 2 Forsaken has added in plenty of new weapons, items, raids, and missions to do. One particular thing worth noting about the expansion is that it’s finally bringing back the Prison of Elders from the first game. When the sequel launched, the Reef was missing from the game, ultimately removing the mode that came with it. That said, some players might be wondering if they can enter the Prison of Elders in Destiny 2 Forsaken.
Luckily, players will get the chance to visit the Prison of Elders in Destiny 2 Forsaken, although not in the same way as the first game. Early on in Destiny 2 Forsaken, you, Petra, and Cayde-6 will be tasked with stopping an ongoing riot down at the Prison of Elders. Following this mission, you’ll visit the prison later on again during the Warden of Nothing Strike. We won’t spoil too much of the experience for you because it’s quite incredible, but you’ll definitely have the opportunity to re-experience some of your “favorite” memories from the Prison of Elders in Destiny 1.
The Prison of Elders used to be a PvE arena where you and two other players would fend off waves of enemies. Each round and wave would always be random, and the final round would always lead to a mini-boss. Some of these missions also had additional requirements, such as disarming mines or eliminating a target within a certain time limit. Teams who fail to meet the requirements or die during combat are forced to restart the round in the Prison of Elders. Players who manage to clear the challenge were rewarded with chests filled with some useful items.
That does it for whether or not the Prison of Elders is in Destiny 2 Forsaken. If you’re looking for more tips and tricks on the expansion, be sure to check out our expansive wiki for other useful guides.
