Guacamelee 2 sees you take control of Juan the Luchador once again as he sets out to stop Salvador from destroying the Mexiverse. You’ll be uppercutting, body slamming, and transforming into a chicken along your journey, but you may be wondering how long that journey is. The first game was praised across the board, but the length was criticised by some. You could finish the main story in around six hours, if you were playing on normal. Here’s everything you ned to know about how long Guacamelee 2 is.

It took us just under nine hours to complete Guacamelee 2 on normal difficulty – eight hours and 56 minutes to be exact – so it is longer than the first game. That playthrough didn’t include a huge amount of back-tracking or searching for collectibles and completing side-missions, however. If you were to do things away from the main story, and attempt to get every stamina chest along the way, you can expect a full playthrough to take 12 hours or more. Also, you unlock hard difficulty one you finish Guacamelee 2 once, and completing another playthrough on hard would take longer than the nine hours it took us to finish the game on normal. If you want to do everything and beat the game on hard, you’re looking at 15 hours or more.

In terms of how many bosses there are in Guacamelee 2, you’ll have to face four different bosses over the course of the game. Of course, one will be right at the end, but the rest are spread out as the story progresses. They break up the extended platforming sections nicely, and the characters fit really well in the game’s unique style.

That’s all you need to know about how long Guacamelee 2 is and how many bosses there are. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
