No Man’s Sky NEXT: How to Get Hermetic Seal

Get a Hermetic Seal in No Man’s Sky NEXT

The NEXT version 1.5 update has added a number of minor and major changes to No Man’s Sky. This extends to the materials needed to repair your ill-fated starship, requiring first-time players to obtain a new material called Hermetic Seal in order to get their starship up and running. So, how do you get the Hermetic Seal in No Man’s Sky NEXT?

For those starting a new game, acquiring a Hermetic Seal can be quite confusing at first as the game requires you to progress through its tutorial-like segments before you can get the item. First and foremost, fix the first few broken parts of your starship and board it when the only thing you need is a Hermetic Seal. Upon inspecting the Pulse Engine while inside the starship, the game will prompt you to locate and use a Distress Beacon in the surrounding area. Proceed to inspect the Distress Beacon and take the Navigational Data module, an important item for building the Signal Booster. Afterwards, gather all the necessary materials to build a Signal Booster. Using the Signal Booster to scan for distress frequencies will allow you to find the location where you can get a Hermetic Seal.

It’s worth noting that as of the version 1.5 update of No Man’s Sky NEXT, some players have encountered a message stating that the Hermetic Seal can’t be obtained because the mission target is located in another system. This has frustrated many, as they are left with no way to progress the game. However, some players have confirmed that this prompt is simply a bug, and they can obtain the Hermetic Seal nonetheless.

Procuring Hermetic Seals is less tedious later on in the game as you can acquire a recipe to easily craft the item. Make sure to Check our No Man’s Sky NEXT wiki for more specific guides and general tips.
