4) Yakuza 6: The Song of Life – Metacritic Score: 83
Best Metacritic Games in April 2018
The Yakuza series has been loved by hardcore fans for years, but the series has hit the mainstream since the western launch of Yakuza 0 in early 2017. Following Kazuma Kiryu once again, and his dealings with the Yakuza, The Song of Life is the conclusion to the story that 0 started. Fresh from a three-year prison sentence, Kiryu finds out that his surrogate daughter, Haruka, has gone missing and he returns to Kamurocho to find out what happened.
Much like the games that came before it, Yakuza 6 is a wonderful crime story, full of interesting characters and excellent performances. Kiryu is a character you truly care about and you want to spend as much time with him as possible. The conclusion makes him a more well-rounded character, even if he still spends a lot of his time shopping, or wasting time with all the mini-games that litter the world.
