Best Multiplayer and Co-Op Games of March 2018
The latest entry in the Far Cry series takes players to Hope Country, Montana. Overtaken by a savage, religious cult lead by the prophet Joseph Seed, you liberate outposts, save civilians, and help rebels take back the western territory from Seed and his three siblings John, Jacob, and Faith.
While the campaign can be played in single-player, it is also completely playable in two person online co-op so you and a friend can take back Hope County together. Only players in your friends list can join your game, and the host of the session is the only one of the two that will have the progression of the missions you play together. However, the other player will still get to keep any money, weapons, or perk points they collect while taking part in a co-op session to bring over to their own game.
The additional Far Cry 5 Arcade also offers a few multiplayer game modes where you can drop into various missions and maps with others. You can even create your own maps in a world creator mode to play in with your friends.
This fifth entry in the Far Cry mainline series has focused on co-op play more than ever, and fans of the series are already enjoying exploring the vast world together as duo, cultist-killing teams.
Far Cry 5 released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 27.
