Playing Splitscreen Multiplayer and Co-op in A Way Out

Recommended Videos

A Way Out is a co-op narrative-driven game developed by Hazelight Studios and published as part of the EA Originals program. Because of the way the game and story are structured, the entire thing can be enjoyed as a splitscreen experience so that you’ll always know what the other player and character is up to.

If you want to play A Way Out in local couch co-op, simply choose the Play Local option from the main menu. You’ll then have to connect a second controller to your system, and have a friend or family member assume control of one of the protagonists. Alternatively, you can also play A Way Out with an online friend from your friends list. From the main menu, choose the Play Online option instead, and press the triangle button (or Y button if you’re on Xbox One) to invite someone from the friends list. If they have the full version of the game or the Friends Pass free trial, they’ll be able to join your session and you can play through it together in splitscreen. Do note that you can’t play this game solo, so you’ll need someone in splitscreen or online co-op to help you out.
